Faith to Pray
Having faith does not mean that there won't be any pain, agony, grief, or sorrow experienced. Having faith means that you stand on what God is able to do rather than on what you are going through. Prayer is even more relevant in this post-COVID time period we are living in. We are witnessing social injustices and are seeing our loved ones and those we care about experience an all time high of stress and anxiety. Some of us are even experiencing an abnormal amount of stress and anxiety. Just like the saying of eating a whole elephant requires you to take one bite at a time, the way to turn the heart of this world back to God is with one prayer at a time. No matter what we see, real faith reminds us that God is able. No, there is no faith without actual works, but the two coupled together is able to turn the hearts of the wicked and unrighteous back to God and we will experience God's hand move on our behalf.

Father God,
We come before your throne to say thank you. God we want to thank you for being so good. We have seen so much that wasn't good, but Lord we will not allow that to cause us to doubt your goodness. You love is unconditional. Your mercy endures forever. We thank you that no deed goes unnoticed by you. Your eyes are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good (Proverbs 15:3). Thank you that you will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether it is good or whether it is evil (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14). Father continue to raise up a remnant of people who will stand for truth, who will fight for truth, who will speak for truth. We know that Heaven rejoices in the truth. Keep our hearts pure. Hear our cries for mercy and justice, for righteousness and peace. Thank you for the comfort of the Holy Spirit. May He continue to lead us into all truth. May He continue to lead us into peace. May He continue to lead us into righteousness. May every fruit that we bear, that is not like you, be cut at the root. May we only produce fruit that gives you glory. May we have a heart for our nation. May we have a heart for each other. May we stop preaching the gospel and start living it. We praise you for who you are. Even in the midst of what seems to be turmoil, we trust your heart even when we can't trace your hand.
In Jesus mighty name. Amen.
